OPEN CALL - ART TALK BY ARTISTS
Why I am the right person to help you?
The first reason is that I am an art curator with a clear focus on topics such as identity, origins, past & memory, migration, validation of the past and stereotypes. Therefore if your art practise includes one of the topics, feel free to keep on reading.
The second reason is this is not my first open call and based on my previous experience, I have learned that the artists need help with improving their online presence. Therefore I have embraced the idea of Art Talks By Artists. At the beginning of 2020 I organized art talks face-to-face in a physical space with a live audience. After March 2020, I did 2 series of online artists talks when I did all the editing by myself. This call is the fourth and the most advanced version.
What will I gain as an artist?
Currently, I have an art blog and there are 3 sections. The last section is ready for your Art Talks, please have a look here. To each selected artist is dedicated a blog post featuring a video/podcast of the art talk.
Once I have the post & podcast ready then I will publish it and circulate it within my network such my LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn Page, IG, and FB.
What are the criteria for being selected?
The most important is the relevancy to my areas of research such as identity, origins, past & memory, migration, validation of the past and stereotypes. Then it is how close you can stick to the requirements below. eg if I have asked for 15 mins and you send me 30 mins then it is less likely I will select your podcast.
Another example is when I ask for no selfie videos and you send me a video where you go around your studio, pointing out your artworks and talking about them while you are in front of the camera and so on.

Requirements:

the length of the talk is 15 mins only
-
in English only
-
it is a voice recording accompanied with images of your artwork rendered as MP4, or AVI
-
no selfies videos
-
the talk should be spontaneous
-
notes on paper are welcomed but do not read out loud the whole text
-
presentation 90% visual or short videos accompanied with your voice explaining the artwork
-
minimum written text
-
the recording has to start with you saying "Produced for Temporary Space Berlin.....then you full name and country of origin.......

upload the file via form below (fee 30 EUR)

send me 1 individual photograph of your artwork which I can use as a cover image max 900MB
